The Niagara Street Project

Safer, easier, economical – Metro’s Niagara St. Project is 150 years of public transportation experience, combined with 21st century technology, to make the bus the best way to travel one of Buffalo’s most vital and vibrant corridors.

Transit Center

Metro is going to establish a new facility on Niagara St. to making bus route connections easy and out of the weather. Metro is currently looking at the Riverside area, where Routes 3, 5, 23, 32, 35 and 40 meet. The transit center would house information and including electronic signs displaying real-time bus arrivals.

The center will be designed with pedestrian and bicycle traffic in mind. It will also give the community space for announcements and messages important to the neighborhood.
